The Pittsburgh Trumpet Camp
Every June, middle and high school trumpet players from across the region gather in Mt. Lebanon for an intensive week of masterclasses, ensemble playing, audition preparation, and serious fun — capped off by a mass trumpet ensemble finale concert. Founded in 2025, the camp is led by Chad Winkler with guest faculty from the region’s top orchestras and universities.
A Week at Camp
Mornings are for fundamentals — sound, technique, and ensemble skills. Afternoons bring masterclasses, mock auditions, and chamber music. The week wraps up with a finale concert where every camper performs in a mass trumpet ensemble for family and friends.
Who It’s For
Middle and high school trumpet players of all levels — no audition required to attend.
