Lessons & Pricing
Now enrolling for Fall 2026 — the 10-lesson semester begins the week of September 14. Private 30-, 45-, and 60-minute lessons at my home studio in Mt. Lebanon, or on Zoom — tailored to each student’s level, school music, and audition goals.
What Lessons Include
Every lesson is one-on-one and covers fundamentals (sound, articulation, range, flexibility), etudes and solo repertoire, sight-reading and ear training, and preparation for PMEA district, region, and All-State auditions — plus college auditions for older students. Students get a clear weekly practice plan and honest, encouraging feedback.
-
Semester packages (typically 10 lessons) start at $425 for 30 minutes, up to $850 for 60 minutes. Summer packages of 6, 8, or 10 lessons are also available, and individual lessons are $90. The first lesson is free for new students.
-
Primarily middle and high school students — motivated beginners through pre-professional players. College, graduate, and adult students are also welcome.
-
At my home studio in Mt. Lebanon, in the heart of Pittsburgh’s South Hills — or over Zoom for students farther away.
-
Yes — audition preparation is a core part of the studio. My students have earned first-chair placements in the PMEA All-State orchestra, wind ensemble, and jazz ensemble, and have been accepted to top music schools including Northwestern, CIM, Carnegie Mellon, Eastman, and Michigan.
